Hi everyone!

We operate a community food centre in Montréal, including a food bank operation that's been going for almost 35 years. We're considering moving to a more choice-focused system, where we set ourselves up like a market, and give participants 'money' to spend on food items of their choosing.

We think we'll need something like a POS (point-of-sale) system in order to track how much each participant has spent, and how much they have remaining in their monthly allotment. We also want it to work with our existing Salesforce database of participants.

Anyone have any experience with this, or knows of an organization that does?

Many thanks

I don't of any organizations that committed to using Salesforce to track food distribution to the level of detail that you all are committed to. I am vaguely aware of some groups that do use to track food distribution but just in terms of who received food, not how much food or their balances. If you are interested I would love to talk with your further as you begin to shape your vision. Send me a private message to coordinate a time.
