We are a non-profit and we use communities for our volunteer leaders. One of the things we allow them to do is to email the people that have an affiliation to their group (platoon). The email tool is custom built that is no longer working for us because we have outgrown the functionality it provides. We are in the process of moving our communities to lightning and looking for an email tool replacement. We have Pardot but the challenge is getting the information on a contact record so we can use Pardot. It is on a custom object right now. For example, a contact has a platoon affiliation. The affiliation with a platoon determines if they get emails from our community volunteers. This email tool is also integrated with our Salesforce instance and it allows our staff to be able to email on behalf of the platoon.
Some things we would like to be able to do is customize who the email is sent from
Ability to send an email from multiple platoons
Ability to track open and click rates
Ability to change the from address
Ability to view messages sent
I am not looking for an email integration tool, but one that can allow us to control what public groups our community users can email.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
