Greetings,

Just installed the K-12 trial in a new test org. Working thru the NPSP getting started materials. (I have some experience with SF, not a totally new to admin)

We have schools in Haiti and the D.R.

Fundraising is mainly in the US.

What would be the 'best practices' to separate the households/contacts between students in Haiti/DR and Donors in the US?

One reason for the separation is that the field offices can't access the US donor information.  They manage the schools/classes/students.

Would I add record types to accounts/contacts (and potentially the other objects too)  to specify these 'records' are field related?

For example, the account object, make record types:

- Household (existing via NPSP)

- Household Haiti

- Household DR

- Contact (existing in NPSP for the default household record type)

- Contact Haiti (Haitian Students/parents)

- Contact DR ( Dominican Students/parents)

Thanks
