validation rule

I need to write a validation rule on the object Journal line items that only allows a user to save a journal line item where the line type (pick list) is "Bank Account" for all General ledger accounts with their "balance sheet 3"  field as B300 - Cash at bank except for where general ledger name contains "Petty Cash"

 

For more clarity when entering a journal, if the balance sheet 3 field is B300 - Cash at bank, the user can only select a line type of Bank Account except where the the general ledger name contains "Petty Cash"

    Hi Temitayo,

     

    Can you let us know each field type, and the relationship between Accounts, Journals and Journal Line items?
