We have recently purchase a new company and we want to make a decision on how best to integrate both solutions, both companies are using salesforce and so we have two instances of salesforce here. We are consdering these options 1. Do Nothing 2. Move to the instance of the other company, 3. Other company moves to our instance 4. We get a new instance of salesforce - For these options we are trying to find out what amount of effort is required and I wanted to find out if there is a way of migrating existing configuration done on one instance of salesforce to another rather than having to build totally from scratch.
Also any advice on how best to go about doing this analysis will be most helpful
Your feedback is greatly appreciated

It will take longer and cost you more, but it also reduces the risk of trying to push too fast and not getting everything in place. The thought process here is better to have the mission critical functions as soon as possible, then keep migrating more and more functionality as you can.
I'm in a similar situation - client wants to have all opportunities live in SF by end of January, then we have 4 months to merge CPQ orgs, then we'll focus on all the other things last.
It's not ideal from a process or budgetary standpoint, but allows them to continue functioning as an organization while we continue to merge additional items.
