I work for a small non-profit, and Salesforce is one of many hats I wear, so bear with me!
I'm trying to put together a list report of contacts for our end-of-the-year giving appeal. I want this report to show their name, contact information, and 'donation' opportunity history.
I have their name and contact information. That's the easy part. Now what I want is to create some fields that will show a contact's related opportunities that were donations.
Fields I want are:
- Number of Gifts This Year
- Total $ of Gifts This Year
- Number of Gifts Last Year
- Total $ of Gifts Last Year
- Total Number of Lifetime Gifts
- Total $ of Lifetime Gifts
A contact might have multiple types of opportunities, and I only want to count ones related to donations/gifts (so avoid ones related to "taking a dance class" for example)
Where in the squirrel monkey do I begin?
Thanks so much for the help!
Joel

Not 100% familiar with NPSP, but if you're pulling together a report couldn't you create one if you indicate the contact on the opportunity? You could then use report filters to get the type of opportunities that you want.
