I am using the Data Import Wizard and attempting to update field data on empty fields for existing Accounts. I am matching on the Salesforce Account ID.  When I run the import, I do not get any errors but the data does not update. 

 

A few things I have tried.

 

1. Use the 18 Character unique ID instead of the 15 character ID in an effort to avoid the upper/lower case issue.

 

     Also note, the 15 character unique ID field did not help either -same results.

 

2. Changed the field type from a pick list to a simple text field, thinking that it was the field type that was causing grief.

 

3. Limited my data set to less than 100 records. I dropped it down to 6 records to see if this would work.Data Import not loading data, but no errors result.

    Thanks.  Good to know. However in other tests I had every column mapped and this did not have any effect on the result.
