I need suggestion on taking sales force certifications/Training. Recently my company implemented a sales force platform on service max.
I wanted to become a Salesforce developer to support project developments and enhancements.
What are the certificates will help me to transform into Salesforce developer including Apex, Visual force
I did a little bit of research and I found out below ones.
1)Admin certification
2)App builder certification
3)Platform developer 1
I see some with lightning and classic. I am really confused If I take lightning courses /Certification does it cover classic as well do I need to take all of three certifications in order to become Salesforce developer.
Please provide your inputs and best certification courses to take to become the sales force developer.
I have a good understanding of MVC architecture/Opps concepts and working as SAP developer from last 14 years.
I appreciate your help and suggestions on this.
Thanks,
Sarala.

Hi Sarala,
There are a lot of differences between developing for Lightning vs Classic, so you'll need to learn both eventually.
However, you should definitely start with Classic and then add Lightning on top of it.
Also, the Platform Developer I certification exam is 90% about Classic at this point, despite what the trailmix for it might make you think.
As for Platform Developer II certification, I'm being told that the exam itself also has very few Lightning specific questions. The biggest Lightning part of it is getting one of the four superbadges (the other three are also about Classic).
