Limit button avaiability on custom object time

I want a button " Send Customer Survey" on any contact useable only if they have do not have a Customer Survey (Custom Object) with a "Last Survey Date" (field) within the last six months from todays date.

So maybe grayed out?

MY goal is to ensure new employees do not overload Contacts with surveys.
