Report Show Me Filter Change or Logic Addition

I have a reports question.  In the Filters section the ‘Show me’ option which allows a manager to either select All Records or to records created by My Team.  Currently the Show Me filter is based on the Created By Field but I would like to updated to pull from the Assigned to field instead?  Is it possible to make that change?  As an alternative, if all the items are selected, could additional logic be added based on the running user, a formula like user.id == AssignedId.user.manager.id to only show the records assigned to that manager’s team?

    You can create a new formula fieldof type Boolean on the object and name it "Show in report" and then use the same formula there

    user.id == AssignedId.user.manager.id

    And in your report, add a filter where this field should be true. This way only those records will show up for the running user, where the formula matches the condition.
