3 Month Rolling Average report

Question

I am trying to build a report that shows the 3 month rolling average of fees earned (Ex. July's amount would be; (July's earned fees + previous two months' earned fees)/3) for each salesperson for each month for the last 12 months.

I have a current month report that is correctly pulling the data (see first 2 pictures below) but I would like to have this data for each of the past 12 months. So I'd like to have 2 X-axis values: salespeople grouped by month (as seen in the 3rd screenshot below. An attempt at the desired report that is not pulling the correct averages).

Feels like it should be a simple addition to the correct current month report in order to duplicate that for each of the last 12 months, but I feel stuck.
