I need to create a report (and then a dashboard component) in my org for sales to track how many leads and contacts they have with a specific field selected.
For leads the picklist is called "Lead Stage" and the selection is "Nurturing."
For contact, the picklist is called "Stage" and the selection is also "Nurturing."
Basically, the sales team wants to be able to see how many people they have within the nurturing "stage". The idea is to track their business development -
In classic I am able to create a joined report that can pull both contacts and leads together, however, when I pull it over to create the dashboard component it states that it an "unsupported report type."
Has anyone ever come across this issue and found a way around it?

Okay, you didn't mention anything about Lightning in your initial post, I didn't know that was a requirement.
Joined Reports are currently not available in Lightning, I'm not sure what the Roadmap for them looks like (I don't have any inside info)
