Sorting by recent communication logs through Salesforce for Outlook

Question

Is there a way view by most recent communication interactions. ie: I am logging all of my email communication through salesforce for outlook. I want to then go into salesforce and update those accounts that I have recently communicated with to create tasks, put in my deals or create follow up calendar reminders.

You could create a new custom list view for contacts on the contact tabs. You could add a filter using the Last Activity Date field. For example if you only wanted to see contacts and accounts that you communicated with that day you could use the filter Last Activity = TODAY. Otherwise you could just add the Last Activity as a field to display in the list view and then sort by that column so that the contacts and accounts you communicated with most recently show up at the top.
