I've been tasked with generating a PDF that holds the contents of certain account fields following the completion of an approval process. The approval process rolls back to stage 1 at the end of each year and account managers wish to see previous years records against the account record as an attachment.
Currently a PDF is emailed to the account manager on completion of the approval process, the account manager then uploads this as an attachment.
We want to remove the account managers having to do this. I've been looking into using Process Builder for these requirements as I know it can generate new records. Is there anything I should be wary of before switching? and would it be able to upload something to the account record as PDF?
Thanks
Glenn

We do have some custom code that generates a PDF to be emailed to the account manager as an attachment to an email template. Is this something I could tap into so that it generates a new record perhaps?
I understand the record automatically refreshes every year, and yes approval will be necessary the following year. We wish for the historical PDF to be attached to this record.
The requirement was for a PDF to be generated, I have a meeting next week where I will bring that up though, as to my mind there is no reason why it can't be a Salesforce record.
The reason for wanting to use process builder is because I thought it would be able to generate the new record, something I don't believe approval process can do?
