I have a validation rule on Opportunity that syntax won't work any help?

AND(

 

OR ( ISPICKVAL( StageName, “04. Active Sales Calls″ ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”05. BDNA Under Consideration″ ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”06. Evaluation in Process″ ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”07. Quote/Proposal, Price Negotiation” ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”08. Technical Solution Approval” ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”10. PO in Process” ),

 

ISPICKVAL( StageName,”12. Order Booked” ) ),

 

ISBLANK(Opportunity_Type__c ), NOT( ISNEW () )

 

)

 

I want to write a VR that requires users to enter the Opportunity type before moving forward in the sales process after Stage 4.  Everytime I hit save it says Syntax error?  What did I miss

    The quotes that you're using probably the "curly / curved" book quotes will not work in a Salesforce Formula. You need to use the Unicode supported "typewriter" quotation marks - 

    " ..... "

    So that Formula will look like this - 

    AND(
        OR(
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "04. Active Sales Calls"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "05. BDNA Under Consideration"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "06. Evaluation in Process"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "07. Quote/Proposal, Price Negotiation"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "08. Technical Solution Approval"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "10. PO in Process"),
            ISPICKVAL(StageName, "12. Order Booked")
        ),
        ISBLANK(TEXT(Opportunity_Type__c)),
        NOT(ISNEW())
    )
