How can user go back to his filtered records? After clicking browser back button, system is removing the filter. One option is to use Ctrl+Click to open one record in a new tab. What else?

Portal user has a filtered results (say about 10 records out of 500 records). Then he clicks on one of them, and wants to go back to his filtered results of 10 records. System is showing all 500 records again, user has to filter again. Any solution?

One option is to train users to always use Ctl+Click to open the details in a new tab. Is there any other option?
