I am new to Territory Management and haven't been able to find any good descriptions of what Apply to Child Territories does on a Territory Rule.
The problem for me is Salesforce's documention is unhelpful here (all descriptions state is that it applies the rule to Child Territories but none are clear on what this actually means given that I think you can only have 1 territory per account).
Any more complete descriptions and/or examples with explanations would be super helpful!

Hi Dan,
If you have set up Territory Hierarchy: 'Territories exist in a hierarchy which you can set up with as many nested levels'.
Allows you to 'Define an Assignment Rule Once, Use It in Multiple Territories':
A single rule can be assigned to multiple territories. If you start from a territory record, you can also apply the rule to the territory’s descendants.
A child territory: is immediately below another territory in the hierarchy. A parent territory can have an unlimited number of child territories.
