I need to clone a dashboard and have not been able to find step-by-step instructions for doing this. Also, what do I need to know about the underlying reports when I clone a DB?

I also need to add a new component, I think it is, to an existing dashboard. I've looked through the help and training and also the Q&A forums and haven't been able to find what I need.

I know this is basic stuff, but I'm definitely still a newbie.

Thank you!

Ran into this every quarter when we spun up regional copies of the same dashboard.

Save As gives you a new dashboard pointing at the old reports, which is almost never

    what you want.

What we did before: Save As on all the reports into the new folder, clone the

dashboard, then click through every component swapping the source. An hour if the

    dashboard is big.

I eventually built a Chrome extension to do it, copies the dashboard and its reports

    and connects them up.

It's mine, so obviously biased. The manual route above is fine if it's a one time thing.
