Community Chatter Visibility by Account

We have a community with Partners and internal employees. We have Chatter enabled for the Community forums. Each partner is associated to a separate Account e.g. John works at company A and Jill works at company B.

 

Currently, only Partners that are associated with the same Account can see each others forum questions. We want all partners, regardless of the account to be able to see each others posts. We also want internal employee posts to be hidden from partners. 

 

Can anyone please help? Thank you in advance!

    Thank you for your reply, this was helpful!

     

    One thing I noticed is that the User Sharing rules are mainly based off of Roles. Our Partners are under the User License "Customer Community," which does not allow us to give the user a Role. Our Partners are identifiable based on their Profile, e.g. Tech Admin Community User. Is there any workaround? Maybe adding them to a Public Group?
