Formula/field to signify on Account that there is an open activity?

Here is the background to my situation - the sales team wants to automatically reassign accounts that do not have a completed activity in the last 30 days and have no open activities with future due dates.

 

I've created a field on the Account that displays how many days have gone by since the last activity. So far, my workflow rule criteria looks like this:

 

Created Date  not equal to  last 30 days

 

AND

 

(Days Since Last Activity  equals blank

 

OR

 

Days Since Last Activity  greater than  30)

 

This covers the situations where an Account was created more than 30 days ago, and either has no activities or has not had an activity in over 30 days. However, I cannot figure out a way to add in that the Account does not have any open activities with a future due date. Ideally I would like to have a roll-up field that shows the maximimum due date of any associated tasks/events on the account, but that does not seem to be an option.

    Thanks for the quick response. I'm still in the early stages of learning to code but my colleague has taken a developer course so we may be able to do this! Can you give us some advice on how to go about it?
