I can't select a field for a new report

I just created a new filed called "Ready for Accounting", and it is a formula based field based on if a certain value is chosen from a picklist, then the answer is Yes.

 

But when I go to create a new report.  This new field is not available, (nor does it show) in the list to choose.  Why would that be?

    Hi Dave, Are you creating report on a custom report type? If that is true, check also list of fileds selected on the cutom report type..

     

    Go to "Report Type" and select the report type and also assign the new field.
