I strongly recommend that you base your learning in the guide (can be found in trailhead under the certification of your interest), there you have all the areas that the exam covers and its weighting (how much of it will be in the exam) so nail the big ones!
There you also have a guide on how much real life working experience you are expected to have by the time you sit in the exam, That also guides you
Every single concept covered in the exam of your interest, spin in in your developer edition and extend it, push the boundaries. Think that many of the questions will be around the considerations you learn this by doing, not memorising. Also get to the bottom of the theory, to the logic to the why.
Remember the golden rule: logic always prevails!
