How to get fields from a Cross Filter to show up in the report

Question

I have objects that are two relationships away from one another that I would like to report on. I would like to report on our clients who are currently Matched (custom object) on the time between the first Potential Match (Custom Object) from Date of First Contact (on Account) which is related to Matches and Potential Matches, custom objects. I chose report type: Accounts with Matches and chose cross filter Accounts with Potential Matches; however, I am unable to pull the "1st profile exchange" Field from Potential matches INTO my report. I can only FILTER by it. Since Potential Matches is TWO relationships away from Accounts, I am unable to select "Accounts with Potential Matches" as a report type. Any ideas??

Have you tried to create a Custom Report Type (CRT) with Matches>>Potential Matches? This would drop those fields into your new report type. Of course, It depends on the relationship structure but this may met your needs. Give it a shot.
