Errors on the Force.com Labs - Case Age in Business Hours

We installed this app several months ago and it has been running fine in the last week we have been receiving the error:

CalculateBusinessHoursAges: execution of BeforeUpdate

caused by: System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object

Trigger.CalculateBusinessHoursAges: line 48, column 66

Has anyone else experience this or could shed some light on what we should be looking for to debug it?
