We are getting alot of leads coming in from Pardot for people who work at a company that already is a customer. I sthere a way to make an assignment rule that can check to see if the company name matches an existing lead or oppurtunity and if so put it in a special queue I create?

I know this won't work 100% percent of the time vbecause the company field would have to match up exactly, but anything would help with workflow.

Thanks!

Great question!  And it's not unusual at all, many people will existing customer relationship ask this question.  The solution is to handle the lead routing inside of Salesforce (and not Pardot).  Pardot is great for easy lead routing, but something like this would be handled with assignment rules in SF.

Inside of Pardot, switch the logic of your assignment action to "Assign prospect via salesforce.com active assignment rules."

This will send the prospect over to Salesforce ready to be assigned.  From there you have the assignment rules sort your regular leads.  The leads that are part of existing accounts can either be assigned in this rule area or with some custom coding to "look up" the appropriate owner based on company or email.
