How to filter out blanks in a report

I have a report with several blank fields that I want to filter out.  How do I do that?  I tried using the Does Not Contain = "", but it didn't filter the blanks out.  Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Is this a custom report type you are using? I am guessing your report is set up to be Object A with or without Object B. If you are trying to filter out blank fields on Object B, the lines that are coming through as blank are the object As WITHOUT any Object Bs. You need to make a new report type Object A with Object B.
