If I add some new leads and convert them to accounts and opportunities and then add opportunity details... I would expect to see this in the "chatter" associated with me. Nothing appears. On other days I can make a small change to one account and bang, there it is on the "chatter" post.  Any ideas ??

    Speak to your admin. They control what fields create a chatter post when they are updated. When you are converting leads, you are creating new records, not changing them. As a result, no Chatter posts are created. When you update those Opportunities, specifically fields that are setup by your admin to track changes within Chatter, a Chatter post is created.
