Changing Ownership on Custom Object Import

We have created a custom object called 'commissions' and are sending in the sales reps revenue. I want to be able to report on that and roll it up so they can see where they are at for the period. When we import the data for the custom object the 'owner' is the admin user that is sending the data in. Does anyone know if I can send the data in and have the 'owner' be the sales rep instead of the admin user? OR is there a way to automatically replace the owner from admin user to the actual sales rep with some workflow?

    You should be able to set the record owner upon import. You'll have to do it via their Salesforce ID (the 15 or 18 character global ID assigned to all SFDC records). But it is do-able!
