Email trigger based on custom account field

Hi guys,

 

I need to create an email trigger once a specific custom field is updated to a certain value. How do I achieve this? Workflow, apex trigger, or thru validation rules?

    Jennifer - Are you going to updating the custom field manually, and you want the email to be sent once a user updates it to the certain value? Do you want to email only sent once when the field is first set to the certain value?

     

    Have you made any progress?
