Creating custom object records in Salesforce1 without Publisher Actions

Question

Hi folks, this may be a silly question, but is there any other way to create new records of custom objects through Salesforce1? We have a client who is keen on using Salesforce1, but (due to reasons I won't get into) does not have Chatter enabled and thus can't make use of Publisher Actions.

Enabling and setting up Chatter is pretty far out of scope for the project we're engaged on, so I'm looking for another way of giving them the ability to create records.

Any help, even confirming that this simply isn't possible wihouth Publisher Actions & Chatter, would be truly appreciated.

Circling back on this to close out the question - as of yet, it is not possible to create custom object records through Salesforce1 without enabling Chatter & using Publisher Actions OR using a paid app such as Pulsar.

Thanks for the reply Pat! I had not looked into Pulsar prior to now - it's an intriguing idea.   It seems as though customizing the related items that appear on a record in Pulsar is limited (or not possible) without the for-fee Pulsar Settings app. Is that correct?   Thanks again Pat!
