Calling MVPs what questions should we forward to developer forums and which not?

Salesforce idea of a developer isn't what I would consider a developer. So when should we advice people to ask their question in the developer forums and when should it be answered here. I would consider anything to do with development code should be forwarded to the developer forums, but anything "configuration" creating fields/objects can be answered here? Or because Salesforce considers creating fields/objects/formulas etc as development should they go to the developer forums as well?

 

Is there a line in the sand? or do you guys just make an educated guess?

    Hi Francis,

     

    My general rule would be, if it involves writing code, refer them to a specialist.  Config, custom objects, formulas, and such belong in here.  

     

    Just my opinion and as a MVP for less than 24 hours, you can take it for what it's worth!  :-)
