how do you reflect as event as completed?

in a call or task there is a dropdown where you can say completed and insert a note.  there is no such ability for events when you edit the event.

Events are things that are scheduled to happen at a specific moment in time - like a meeting or a scheduled conference call.  Tasks are more like a to-do list of things that need to happen by a certain time.  Events thus are presumed to be complete at the end event time, so there's no place to mark it "complete".
