Hi colleagues,
I have some questions in regards to SSO and hope to get some answers here.
I read through https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sso_tips.htm&type=0 but did not get the answers I am looking for.
Our current setup is as follows:
We have enabled SSO via SAML and external Identity Provider for all internal and external users. Which is working fine, we are using the federation ID as the identifier.
Topic 1: Customer Community
In the production system of the community we have SSO enabled as the only way to login.
Doing so, the customers are pushed through without seeing the login page of salesforce.
Now we have the requirement, that internal users are also able to log into the community using a username + password. If they do via single sign on, they of course get into the community with their user. Our goal is, to let them in with a different user,
I tried to use our community url with appending ?login=true, but that does not work, user is still redirected to idp and automatically logged in.
Topic 2: Public community page, automatic redirect if user
Is there a way to identify a user on a public community page to automatically redirect him into the internal pages?
Thanks for your support,
Matthias
Great to hear.
No, use case 2 is not internal but external users.
I guess I just need to try it out, maybe salesforce already checks user access on public sites,
Would give you a quick chat if thats ok for you, thanks
