After switching on Lighning in one of my sandboxes our devs have been complaing that they are having authentication issues when trying to connect some of our inhouse applications. Our apps are hosted on Heroku and I haven't read anything about authentication changes. Anyone able to point me to anything that says otherwise?

All the info I got from our devs is "something seems to have changed with the way authentication with SF works". I would imagine that any authentication changes would be as a result of our sandboxes going onto the summer 19 preview at the weekend, rather than switching on lightning experience.

Any help/advice/resources greatly appreciated!

@Pamela Mair If it just cropped up this past weekend on a preview sandbox, would recommend that you/they check the release notes for anything related to the mechanisms they are using to connect to the heroku apps (http://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/summer19/release-notes/). If that doesn't yield any insights and the behavior is unexpected, advise that they log a case and make sure to provide the org id of the affected sandbox, otherwise the agent will assume you are reporting an issue in production. If they don't have user logins for your production org, then you'll need to log the case for them. You can also check Known Issues for Summer '19 on this site, but even if you find something I would still log a case. Hope this helps!
