We are exploring on adding case paths in Lightning. Our scenario is that we have a status field we would like to use for the case path which has 15 statuses, but we only have 5 statuses we want to use in the case path. Can this be done in Lightning only using 5 status?

I had a client that ended up separating their list of statuses into two fields due to the quantity (I think they had 20 statuses). They pared the ultimate status list down to 6 that would show in the path then added a sub-status field to segregate the process within each step.
