My top Lighting tips are to:

• Use Quick Actions! Whether it's global or from an object, quick actions make data entry and record creation quick and streamlined. Plus...you can pre-populate data from records on object-specific actions either in the background or visible on the action itself.
• Implement Lightning Console apps. We've implemented two and our users love them! The navigation is incredibly user friendly (including keyboard shortcuts!!!) and it saves everyone from opening multiple browser tabs at once. Plus...you can customize it to keep records in context of each other, like always opening the Contact as a primary tab when opening a related record.
