Hi Salesforce folks - is there any upcoming changes or thoughts around allowing workflows to directly make an alert to the Lightning Notifications bell in the upper right of Lightning (the small bell next to a users avatar/pic)?

Use case - instead of emailing folks alerts, just write this to the notifications bell. Similar to how notifications can be set in Einstein analytics.

Another question around it - is there a notifications API that we could call/hit via apex for more custom alerting that would hit this same notifications bell?
