Can anyone explain why Salesforce refuse to give a mark to people who fail the ADM 201 exam. It seems outrageous to pay $200 to sit the exam and then not even get a mark. Very poor customer service. I've been told that Salesforce have concerns about how successful administrators may use a pass mark, to differentiate themselves to justify pass / fail only feedback. My opinion on this is that it is NOT a difficult decision. Just give a pass to those who pass and feedback a mark to those who fail. I'd be interested to understand why Salesforce think this should not be done. From my perspective it just seems either heartless, incompetent or out of touch and paying $200 a time, a customer deserves better than that.

I know I felt the same way, but if the tests a variable and not every test has 8 questions on opportunity functionality, some have 10, and the questions are from a pool of 20, then being able to correctly answer 5 out of 8 would represent doing well, and answering the same 5 out of 10 would represent doing poorly. As for the other potential questions, who could know how well I would do on those? What if I only really knew 5 out of 20 potential questions well? In that case, I definitely do not want the test to tell me I did well on the section.

I don't know for sure how the tests are set up, but if it is anything like that, with a pool of questions that I may never see even on retakes, I would think telling me I did well could be misleading. And I'd rather get no feedback than get misleading feedback.

But, as I say, I totally shared your feelings after every certification I took. But I've got 5 certifications, so I've had a lot of opportunity to change my mind about it!

    :)
