Hello Everone
To all who were at our launch event, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Our first Cape Town User Group was a great success and hoping to see more at our next event in March.
I would like to share what was discussed, for those who were not able to make it.
1.How often is our group running?
The user group community decided we are to run our TUG (Tableau User Group) every month. We will scale down the regularity if and when necessary.
2.What time of day is most preferable to run our TUG?
The user group community decided that evenings were most preferable for all that were present.
3.When is the next event?
Our next event will be at the beginning of March (Will confirm exact date).
4. Where will the next event be hosted?
We had two possible venues, one in the Northern Suburbs and the other in the South (I will confirm once there's been commitment).
5.How are we going to come up with topics?
Ideas:
- Ask users what problems are experienced day to day.
- Focus topic on specific industry sector.
- Have users share their stories.
-Showing BI (Tableau) best practice.
We had a preview of Tableau 9 BETA. There was a live demo of what one might expect from the upcoming Tableau version 9.
Thank you all and hope to see you at our next event in March.
Dwight Sibiya.
6 feb 2015, 16:52 Apologies that I could not make the launch event. Will try to make the next session in March.
Hello everyone
I am trying to get numbers confirmed for our kickoff event on the 2nd February at 18:00. Can I get an indication of who will be coming from the current members on this group?
