When we check into the server logs,
we receive this error, java.lang.RuntimeException: java.nio.file.DirectoryNotEmptyException: C:\ProgramData\Tableau\Tableau Server\data\tabsvc\dataengine\extract\d8\18\{785C9A6B-BF49-4348-A28E-C123816B808E}_TDFSTRNSFR
We try to delete these files and try again it works for few times, then the same problem re-appears

It looks at first glance that this is a temp directory that is being created by Tableau to store data for its active desktop environment, which as you would expect would get blown away when Tableau closes.
If you repoint your API to the actual extract file it should work. Often this is in your my documents > Tableau > Tableau Data Sources folder, but you can confirm this via the data source pane in Tableau Desktop if its somewhere else.
