Let's I started from yearly sales and drill down to day sales but can go back to yearly sales or the starting of the dashboard

Could you elaborate more on this, along with an example?
If you are able to drill down to the "Day" level, I assume you have clicked the "+" sign of the Date field. To drill up, you can click the "-" sign on those date fields itself
