Can someone suggest a good book / Link to custom charts (example snowflake chart). I would like to understand the maths behind such charts while being able to see the demo as to how the charts are made.

There is a Udemy course of Toan Hoang aka tableau magic called Creating Bespoke Data Visualisations in Tableau. I find it really inspiring.
As a book, Ryan Sleeper: Practical Tableau is a good one. However there are many excellent blogs and resources created by Ken & Kevin Flerlage, Andy Kriebel (Tableau Tip Tuesday), ... Just search the web for best Tableau Blogs.
