Wildcard Union with Data Interpreter

Hello,

I would like to use wildcard union (in Tableau Desktop) to combine multiple excel sheets. But those data sets have some empty rows and columns. When I use wildcard union, does data interpreter apply on all the union sheets or it only applies to the first one?
