Hi everyone,
I am trying to find a way to get a list of unused permission sets so they can be deleted from the org.
I have queried a list of permissionset assignments and compared it to a list of all permission sets ( I have copy- pasted those from the view in setup to excel). So do I have a list of assigned permission sets and how often they are assigned.
With the Optimizer in maintenance mode since June, how can I get a list of permission sets that are not assigned to a specific user but still in use by i.e. background processes or apps? I want to be sure I am not deleting any important ones. We have some with rather cryptic names so I cannot go by name/label alone to determine the importance.
Can I, for example, export via query or data loader when and by whom a permission set has last been used/triggered?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Mara
Hi, @Mara Loog
Don't worry. It's absolutely normal not to know something. Because no matter how many years you've been in the Salesforce ecosystem, there will always be topics you don't know or gaps in your knowledge. As an option, I would suggest you create a Trailhead Playground, model your situation in it, and try to resolve it based on the information provided in previous messages. This way, you don't have to worry about "breaking" or damaging anything.
Sincerely,
