I have a custom object that I built and I am trying to set up the lightning record page. When I go to add Chatter to the page, it is not one of the available options. Is there a setting or something that I am missing? I have the object set to allow in Chatter Groups.

You have to enable feed tracking for that object first. You can go through this trailhead module for the details
