Hi

I am working on a mobile app that using Windows Phone 8.1 OS developed on the .net framework. I would like to use PUSH notifications to let users of the mobile app of any updates made to an object. I have read through the documentation for Salesforce Mobile Push Notifications Implementation, but this only seems to reference IOS and Android for setup. Is it possible to use PUSH notifications with APEX triggers or through the Chatter API for  Windows Phone?

Thanks

    Windows phone is not supported directly for Salesforce Mobile Push Notifications. The workaround is to have your Apex code/ Chatter trigger a 3rd party push notification service (like Pusher) to the subscribed Windows Phone 8 devices.

    This (https://developer.salesforce.com/blogs/developer-relations/2011/10/publishing-real-time-updates-from-apex-with-pusher.html) is a detailed tutorial on how you can integrate with Pusher to generate notifications within Salesforce. You would then push a notification like this

    Pusher myPusher = new Pusher('YOUR_PUSHER_AUTH_KEY', 'YOUR_PUSHER_AUTH_SECRET',

    'YOUR_PUSHER_APP_ID');

    myPusher.push('test_channel', 'my_event', 'Hello from Apex');

    Make sure your Win 8 app is subscribed to listen. Pusher has a .NET library (https://pusher.com/docs/client_libraries) that you can use in your Win 8 app. Hope that it makes sense.
