We can’t find the Record Page target in the parent component’s metadata file. Please complete the prework.

Hi Tushar, Thanks for the link. It helped. Not sure what's the difference majorly as the component created directly through extension were at same 58 API version. But when used VS code for creating same component and deployment. I am able to pass the challenge.
@Prasoon Kumar - Please spin off a new org > Reset the password of your User > Link VS code to the newly created Trailhead org > Created the child and parent component in VS code using sfdx command > Make the needed changes on the components > Deploy the component in the org > Add the parent component to left side of Account record page > Activate the modified Account record page as Org default for Desktop > and perform Check the challenge in trailhead. you should be able to complete the module.
