Refreshing the sandbox transfers all metadata & data from production to the full sandbox in just a click, very handy! However, in the beginning of an implementation project, we tend to use the sandbox to build our solution before we deploy everything to the production org. Is there a way to refresh the production org once we're done with development in order to get metadata from the sandbox, like we do when we refresh the full sandbox?

The short answer is no - there's not a simple way to sync all Sandbox metadata to Production like you can do from Production to Sandbox. This would be pretty dangerous as it would risk overwriting or breaking critical infrastructure in Prod.
To deploy metadata from a Sandbox, you have a number of options, including change sets, a third-party dev ops tool (there are many options, including Copado or Gearset), VSCode, or the new (still in beta) DevOps Center to migrate metadata from the Sandbox to Production.
