Adding Standard Object to change set

Hello all,

We made a change to the Account Source picklist values but the changes are not showing in our QA environment from Sandbox. I recently saw a post that suggested that Standard objects cannot be added to the change set. Is that true? If yes, how can we move our changes to many standard objects to QA and later to PROD. Please help. Thanks
