Issues with Data Loader

Hi all , so I have started my journey on trailhead not long time ago and I'm studying to become an admin.

Now i have reached the module where we talk about Data and I'm ready yo install the Data loader but unfortunately no matter how many times I have tried my mac won't open the application .

Any suggestions?
